The One

The One transcends conventional residential design, pushing the limits of contemporary architecture to create a residence that is not just a home, but a landmark. This project embodies a bold new direction in modern living, a blend of architectural innovation and authentic character.

Set on a sprawling, steeply sloped plot, the brief was to create a residence that would echo the essence of a high-end resort while redefining the luxury villa experience. The architecture needed to serve multiple purposes in an imaginative, cutting-edge way, setting a new precedent that would distinguish itself from the conventional designs that have characterised Marbella to date.

The design embraces the natural topography, working with the contours of the land to introduce a series of fluid levels and spaces, both indoors and out. The driveway, a journey in itself, weaves through the landscape, gently revealing glimpses of the expansive views that frame the house.

The villa is centred around a dramatic internal courtyard, acting as the heartbeat of the property, from which every room flows outward towards sweeping, uninterrupted views. This central space forms a seamless connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape, where architecture and nature converge.

In terms of materials, we’ve adopted a sensitive, yet forward-thinking approach. Earth-toned stone walls appear to rise naturally from the ground, while sleek black-edged steel beams stretch across the structure, creating a refined horizon line that merges effortlessly with the surrounding greenery and ocean vistas.

The result is a masterful blend of luxury and elegance, where The One becomes a celebration of light, space, and the effortless integration of nature with contemporary living.
